Had a note to check the anode rod for the first time in my water heater, Atwood model GC6AA-10E. Have never checked it (2 years old), but it seems that the manual states that the aluminum lining in the tank IS the anode?
Which means a failure of the "anode" is a tank replacement? Is that correct? No anode rod in it?
Is there any replacement part that will fit this tank that would include both a drain valve (just have the nylon nut now), along with an anode rod to help make it last longer? Something like https://www.amazon.com/Camco-11533-Atwood-Aluminum-Heater/dp/B0024ECD2I/ref=sr_1_7?gclid=Cj0KCQiAtOjyBRC0ARIsAIpJyGN0z3ogW 5D4zyJI57xM-x3SIIbA-96ugCtwuTA-9mVBcvplkB0GyXAaAoLiEALw_wcB&hvadid=323679732143&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9024145&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=10657552986178741047&hvtargid=kwd-712163289751&hydadcr=18806_9902354&keywords=atwood+gc6aa-10e+anode+rod&qid=1582991592&sr=8-7
