I’m leaving in the morning from Washington to AZ, but going through Boise and Las Vegas.

If your stops are just overnights, I like stay in the oversized lots at Casinos. Good breakfast normally at the casinos also.

Best of luck on your trip. How many hours per day are you planning?

.............any good RV parks along I5 to Bakersfield. then over to Arizona.......

You will find lots of rv parks along I-5 in California and Bakersfield if you do an internet search on "rv parks along I-5 in California" and "rv parks in Bakersfield", respectively. We stayed at Orange Grove RV Park in Bakersfield where you can pick fresh oranges off orange trees in you camping space. If you stop in Palm Desert recommend Desert Emerald RV Resort.

I do not know the condition of I-5 north of Sacramento but south of Sacramento it is really beat up and your truck and trailer will take a beating. Recommend cutting over to highway 99 in Sacramento since it is really smooth all the way to Bakersfield.

Get off I5 and get on 395. Much nicer, and prettier drive. More relaxing.

We went South in a more leisurely manner stopping in Corning at the Olive Pit to dry camp...next night in Coalinga to again dry camp at Harris Ranch. South of Lake Havasu is the Cattail state park run by Az Parks dept. nice. Stayed 3 nights

Safe travels!

There is a relatively new, spacious CG called "Flag City" located on I-5 where it intersects with Hwy 12 in Lodi, CA. Wide roads - long sites - all paved and very level. Great for an overnight as there is no need to unhook. Several fuel stops nearby (Flying J, Loves, etc).

Check out https://www.campgroundreviews.com/. They have RVers review campgrounds they stay at, including COE, NFS, BLM campgrounds. We have used this extensively, and are almost never disappointed. Reviews seem to be very accurate, and you get an approximate price, based on those who have previously stayed there. Plus, you find out what amenities (amp service, water, sewer, etc.) are available. We wouldn't travel without consulting this service first. Plus, you can make reservations, if you are traveling at a time when a lot of other folks are traveling.

Gee wiz! All this California bashing. You guys don't have to be jealous of sunny Cal. They'll let you move here [emoji23]I agree AND as a bonus your NOT in California paying double for your fuel.

We just got back from Washington to Arizona trip, but we went down through Utah and back through Nevada.

We stayed at Cave Creek regional park, really nice.
