So I got used to our old trailer water heater switch. Propane only, light comes on wh lights, light goes off. But on our new Bullet it has both propane and electric. I assume that using propane the lighted switch will operate the same. Our first trip we used just the electric side (worked great) and the lighted switched stayed lit the entire time I had it on. Is this normal? Thanks,

Sorry about the sideways pic.

Sounds normal to me. It illuminates when the switch is on and AC power is being sent to the water heater.

Also, with these water heaters, you can use both gas and electric at the same time to get the fastest recovery when using a lot of hot water.

Everything above is correct. Typically the rocker switch is illuminated when the unit is powered on (either gas and or electric) and is not indicating when the t'sat is "calling" for the heat to come on.
