Tire Recalls

NTSB admits tire recall system is broken. See the reference below.

I cant find anything that indicates the system has improved since the above report was released.

Edit - I should have stated notifications on the tires from the manufacturer, i.e. I may get a notification on a Cooper Tire recall that is a different model than the Cooper Tire on my truck.

Very good info. Plugged in Carlisle Radial Trail and there were 60 complaints but the newest was about 3 years ago. Not sure if the complaints are updated regularly. A number of the complaints seemed mis-filed in that the complain was about the Radial Trail but a different tire discussed. The theory that the site update is kind of slow is borne out by the fact that Goodyear Endurance STs are not to be found but Marathons are (MANY COMPLAINTS). Why does Goodyear even sell Marathons today?

The Marathon has not been on GY website for 2 or 3 years. Any still being sold are most likely old stock.

The Carlisle had issues a few years back but the later models have been good. I'm guessing the Marathon complaints are from older complaints as well. I don't know how long those reports stay on the website.
