Contemplating a generator (or pair) for camping and home power outages. I have been watching for a sale on the dual fuel Champion 3400 and came across the iPower SUA2300i which seems to be a newer model than the SUA2000i and SC2000i.

Anyone have any experience with any of these three models from iPower?

I have had 2 Champion 2000 watt generations and a parallel kit for years. I used them boondocking and when after hurricane power outages. Open the choke for a minute and always start on 2nd or 3rd pull. Proper shut off and gas is burned in the lines. I bought all for less than 1 Honda. I had an electrician set up to connect to the house.

That is another option, thanks.

Champion 3100 remote start. Don't even have to get out of bed to start or stop.

I have 2 Powerhorse 2000 watt Portable inverter generators that I parallel when we need power when we go boon docking. DDG

I’ve owned Champion and Firman, both work fine. My next one is going to be the Onan, Cummins 4500. It’s quieter at only 52dbs puts out 3700 watts and peaks at 4500. Also has remote start. I still have my Firman as well and plan to parallel it to the Onan when I need 50 amps for both ACs. Not familiar with the brand the OP asked about.

I have two Champion generators with 3500 running amps and one smaller one just for a deep freezer and frig in the garage. The one 3500 I use and connect into the our home main panel and provides power to our bedroom and bathroom. I then have a few propane stoves that can provide heat for up to two winters.

The other 3500 generators I put in the pickup bed for 30amp power, which I can run one ac and and the lights.

I have been looking at Tesla Powerwall battery for a back up at home, but can imagine having it to plug in someway to 50amp power to run the whole RV without electric.

Last year, I got a SUA2300i generators on Black Friday deal for less than $300 (Hopefully this year, too?). I probably only have a dozen hours on it, but with some insight.

- It is a small displacement motor (same 79cc as my SUA2000). I have a MicroAir Easy Start, and though it can start my 15K AC, it cannot keep up as the AC pressures build.
-- I have to use my SUA2300 and SUA2000 in parallel to maintain the AC.
- Super quiet, though I don't have many other Inverter Gens to compare. About the same as the SUA2000.
- Retractable built in pull handle and wheels are great

There are a lot of options out there, but your situation should drive your purchase. I only needed a genny to charge and ocasionally run AC. I hoped the 2300 would do that, and I was wrong. Now I bring along both the 2300 and the 2000 to run the AC.
