Cold weather and pipes

Kinda in a dilema. Camper is at repair facility and it it supposed to get down to 27 tonight and 28 tomorrow. High temp today is 55 and tomorrow is 41. We were camping when we had to take in as our heater quit working and have not winterized yet since we were still camping and will be once the heater is fixed. Will these temperatures cause my pipes to freeze. I have a 2019 outback 328rl.

Seems to me if the camper is stored inside, won't be an issue but if outside, well, 27 degrees is cold enough to freeze things if it stays down there long enough. Go over to the repair place and drain the hot water tank and take a fitting for an air chuck and blow the lines with an air compressor. Don't use too much press and keep the faucets and such open while you do this. Then pour a bit of rv anti-freeze down the drains where there are p-traps so the stuff in there doesn't freeze solid. Full on winterizing problably isn't needed in this situation. We face the same issue as we camp through the winter down here in the sunny Texas Hill country where temps overnight last night were in the upper 20s due some freak cold blast; over freezing now though.

I think George is right. It won't take but a few minutes to run to your trailer and perform the blowout and adding some anti freeze. Should be OK in the temps you describe. Beats the heck out of what a dealership will charge for winterizing, especially if you are going right back camping in it when it returns. I've not ever seen a dealership keep an RV in a bay unless it is actually being worked on.

Pour some pink into your sinks, toilet and shower drains. Doesn't take a bunch but enough to settle into the water sitting in the traps so it doesn't freeze.

All good advice, but first things first. When you get there open all your faucets and then go below and open both low point drains and let that run while you drain your water heater. Then go on with the blowing and pink stuff. You'll be fine.
