2019 Alpine Dometic Furnace

Have a 2019 Alpine where the furnace quit working. It is still under warranty and took it in. Said the sail switch was bad. Come to find out that the sail switch was dirty, Pet hair???. Long story short, this is not covered under warranty. Had to pay the hourly fee for service. Manual states not to use a filter...Anyone see this problem?

No, a filter is not supposed to be used and in this case, it would have no affect on the sail switch. The inside air is isolated from the outside air, and the sail switch works with outside combustion air, so a filter inside would do nothing. It almost sounds like a critter got into the outside portion of the furnace and left behind hair.
