After reading Captbru's post on 2500's pulling large fifth wheels, I looked at the payload label on my 2500. Only to discover instead of a 3300 lb payload capacity I assumed I had from the 07 GMC towing literature, I only had 2650 lbs. I'm guessing I was between 700 to 1000 lbs overloaded.

So today we did a locator on a GMC Sierra SLT Crew Cab dualie and it will be ready for pickup around noon tomorrow. I am so stoked!! No more bench seat!! Real buckets with 10 way power and position memory...oh and we'll be safer to boot.

Congrats, you should see a big difference in driving. We wanted the model Montana you have, but I was not comfortable with the weight of the Montana and pin weight on our Dodge 2500. I was not ready for the dually yet, and its my daily driver. Good Luck and Happy Camping, Sam

You will love the new features of the 2011. I've got just over 20K on my Chevy and have had it just a year now, and most of that mileage is pulling our Montana. Safe and Happy Travels.

Wow! What a truck! Just hope this new Duramax is as good and my old LBZ. I did take her for 25 mile highway loop and the computer indicated about 21 MPG. That's almost what I was getting with the 2500.

Three hours after taking delivery, I had a new Curt 20K hitch installed, very glad I didn't transfer the Reese 16K over to the new truck. If anyone in the Clearwater/Largo/St.Pete (Floridah) area needs a new Curt hitch, PM me, I've got a good shop to recommend. Good work, very reasonable prices. Or if you need a slightly used Reese 16K slider PM me.

All that "New car smell" is making me dizzy.:dizzy: Good luck with your new trucks. I guess I'll just hang another little pine tree on my dash and fake it. Travel safely, Hank
