How reliable are the water heater bypass valves? I have a 2018 Laredo 225MK and the bypass valve is leaking. At the dealer to get it repaired/replaced under warranty. Is this something I should keep on hand or replace on a scheduled interval?

I also have a leak with the black tank flush they are supposed to fix.
Is it worth having the BT flush as opposed to using a wand in the toilet?

I had a T connection go bad and I think it was the heat bypass (under the sink). I bought a Brass PEX push to connect and it was fixed in minutes(get a pvc cutter). You will want to turn water off and drain the water heater first. I almost went ahead and replaced all the clamped plastic connections but decided not to fix what wasn't broke. I discovered it when I saw a drip under the center of the trailer.
