2017 Cougar XLite 29 RES
Atwood furnace: will properly cycle the furnace on first setting.
Furnace will not come back on when temp goes below thermostat setting
I can re-start by turning off all controls and re-setting thermostat but still only one cycle.
Repair shop wants furnace removed to work on.
Is that a user friendly job?

Hum,.... I'm no expect here but,.... to me sounds like a thermostat issue.

Thermostat or control board maybe. Mine was doing something similar and I replaced the thermostat. Depending on where you get it I think the thermostat is about 25-30 (Dometic).

As far as removing the furnace I've heard of some that were a real bear to get to but mine have always been pretty easy. Some were accessed outside and some from the inside. This one has a super easy louvered wood door with 4 screws; pull it and converter and furnace are all in the big cavity in there.

Thanks so far for checking in on my problem.
Tried a new thermostat (I had 3 extra from a previous air conditioner problem due to lightning strike)but will try another first.
Removal: panel/vent under refrigerator is my access point.
