Hello all:)

This year we've decided to winterize our Keystone 2018 Outback 270urs ourselves, but we've never done it before. I've been over pretty much every square inch of the trailer, but I was wondering if anyone else had tips or perhaps a link to a good how too video. I just want to make sure i don't miss anything....winter is long here in Canada...TIA.

Pete's RV has a good series on videos on YouTube on winterization:

Your manual might have a procedure. Mine does. I use the compressed air method with antifreeze down the drains. Spend extra time getting water out of the toilet valve. I also take off the line on the pump (it's a quick release connector) and mop up that water with a paper towel. No problems yet.

Do you have reasonable access to your water pump? And diverter valve on water heater?

If you're at it, add a winterization kit to your water pump. Makes life easier.

I use one of those. Makes winterizing pretty simple. Mine was a very tight fit in the box where the water pump was, but worked. Make sure you put the non-permanent components in a box, and then remember where you put it. Memory a little stressed after a whole year goes by. Grrrrrrr.

^x2 on the memory! For me it's a result of too many summer's .:) I've gotten into the habit of taking a pic on the phone of the position of the valves before moving them. Then come spring I know how it should go.

Just put the parts in a zip lock bag and zip tie it to a pipe by the pump. No memory needed.
