Hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend. I have a question when I put the camper away for winter. I will take the batteries out and put them in the house as it gets very cold here in the winter. I need to know is it going to harm the inverter if I leave the camper plug in to a 30 amp plug in and not have the batteries in. Every thing will be shut off. The only thing that will be on is the ultrasonic sound things for mice. Thanks for any help. DDG

I think you mean the converter, it charges the battery and supplies 12V to the coach. If your plugged in, the converter will keep the battery fully charged, and since fully charged batteries won’t freeze I don’t see a need to remove them. Just check the water level in the cells once a month.

Thanks for that information. I thought it was a inverter.

Your welcome, common mistake for many people

Converter: takes 110VAC and makes it 12VDC

Inverter: Takes 12VDC and makes 110VAC

Unless you've added it or you have a residential fridge would you have an invertor.

I would like to thank everybody on the forum for all the help. I will give the camper a good coat of wax this month. I'm not going to put a cover on after all the great information on the forum about covers. Thanks DDG
