We have the original tires that came with our trailer still on. We have approx 19,000 kms on them now (includes the trip from factory to dealership) and they look as good now as when we picked up the trailer in May. We will post a pic of them when we get our trailer back from servicing.

How are everyone else's tires doing? If you have changed them, what tire did you have installed? How are they holding up?

We will most likely have to change ours out sometime this winter during our snowbird road trip (another 14,000 kms).

I failed my first tire this year in Kearney NB. The trailer is a 2010 Cougar 318 SAB with ST235X80X16R tires. At the time of failure I had less than 3,000 miles on this tire. I had rotated all my tires this year including the spare and this was the one that failed. I check my air pressure once a week and inflated as needed when traveling. My other four tires have about 10K on them now.

When the camper is stored the tires sit on boards and are covered.

I am replacing all of my trailer tires in the spring of 2012, with Goodyear LT235X85X16R G rated tires. Cost out the door will be about $1440.00 for 4 tires mounted and balance. I would have liked to put on Michelin's RIBS but they are not offered in the G rating tire. The E rated tire will not carry the load rating of a 318SAB trailer, in my opinion.

We changed our tires about 1 1/2 years after we got it and just before we were leaving on a year long trip around the U.S.

We have MAXXIS tires and they have been on almost 3 years now and no problems at all.

Bought our 07 last year from CW. It had original tires and appeared low mileage. Just replaced 2 due to tread separation. Likely replace the other 2 next spring.

well i don't have a 5er, but mine are not doing well at all. they were replaced with new ones in feb. 2011 and they are feathering something terrible. i don't think that i really have that many miles on them, maybe 4 or 5 K? i can't think of the brand of hand right now, but i am sure it is what the dealer use's on all of there trailers.
