I am having trouble unplugging my 50amp cord from my camper. My husband plugged it in but I do not want to break something trying to unplug it. I am new at this. Any help would be amazing.

Welcome to the forum!!!

Your plug will twist to the right to lock in. Twist to the left and it should come out.

And you have undone the locking ring?

You can’t really put it in “wrong” as there are 2 tabs that have to line up and the contacts are shaped a certain way.

See you PMs

We had the same problem last year. I ended up just breaking it the remove the shore cable, as we were relocating the rig. When we got to our new location, we headed down to the closest CW, and picked up a new receptacle for the rig and a new right angle adapter which is what we had plugged into the receptacle. It turned out to be an overheated terminal that caused the white plastic of the plug to expand which locked the plug into place. When cutting things apart, doing an autopsy of the parts, it was a bad connection in the plug of the right angle adapter that overheated.
