I have a new 2019 Keystone 26RBS.

The LED awning light strip is crazy bright! If I were performing open heart surgery on the picnic table at night, it would be great. But, for some easy-going, non-headache inducing ambient light, it really sucks!

Has anyone successfully installed a dimmer on their LED light strip? Something with remote control would be ideal.

Thoughts?

I dont think the light light strip has dimming capability. LED's usually require circuitry to allow dimming.

You can easily install one of these.
https://www.amazon.ca/Volt-Dimmer-LED-Halogen-Incandescent/dp/B01C4UBMW8/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=led+dimmer+for+RV&qid=1565616671&s=gateway&sr=8-2

Works like a champ. Most LED strip lighting can in fact be dimmed.

Cheap on line dimmers for LEDs work fine and are only a few bucks. So cheap that sending me an email would get you a free one to try. HOWEVER if you want to dim them remotely that's a different story.

If single color ebay item number 123822658760

Multi color has a lot of choices and questions. I sell a lot of LED lighting items like tail lights, Tailgate strip lights and strings in many colors and multi colors. Usually local but they are all ship-able.

NO I am not trying to get into selling on this site, just a help out.

Can anyone tell me how to install a dimmer on lights that are controlled by In Command and don't have an actual switch to replace with a dimmer?

On my 260 uml, the slide out is on the awning side so only 1/3 of the strip does any lighting! That's ok with me!

I'm going to have to check my 2019 (when it gets back from the shop) to see whether it also happens to have a switch outside on the awning. I wouldn't be surprised to learn I overlooked one. I don't use the awning much, but I use the lights quite a bit from inCommand for stair and door illumination.

I had the same problem, so I installed this:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/ECO-LED-WIRELESS-WALL-SWITCH-LED-CONTROLLER-/283534232680?hash=item4203f50c68

My awning light and step light were tied into the same switch, so I removed the awning light from the switch and found a constant power source to install the awning remote. It works great dimming it down and I like the capability of having my step light on separately. I mounted the remote right inside the entrance door.

I couldn't agree more about those ridiculously bright white LED strips! They really bothered me.

I bought the Korjo waterproof color LED strips (https://www.amazon.com/KORJO-Bluetooth-Waterproof-Changing-Flexible/dp/B07L5C8GQM/ref=pd_bap_rp_57?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=DDBJ66BGBM9Q0X6Z9KRQ)

Installation was easy as the awning on my 2018 29bhswe allowed me to just slide out the original lightstrip and slide in (with a bit of work and WD40) the replacement. It came with a small controller box that fit easily inside the awning's rails (I glued it in there). It was a 1-hour project that can be done solo. This Korjo lightstrip is smartphone-controllable for brightness, color and multiple patterns - kids love it.
