Ohio gave a $1.2 billion tax break to business owners and now have added this $900 million tax for roads. Its called give to the few and take from the many. Guess which political party is in control in Ohio.

The fuel has been thoroughly tested by the refiner & at whichever fuel terminal it was loaded onto a truck for quality right up to the time that truck unloads it at a particular retailer so if you get poor quality fuels its solely that retailers doing & from most of those places I use the folks there can't count back change let alone have any idea how to alter fuel quality.
Basically your state may not do fuel testing at the retail sites, but after 30+ years in that industry I will quarntee that fuel has been deemed 1st quality right up to the retailer.
Plus regardless of the logo at the station all will be from whichever refinery is closest with today's cheapest bulk price. Where I worked there were 3 different companies fuel terminals in a row & whichever had the best price is where all the trucks were loading on any given day. So if today Shell has the best price about all stations in your area receiving fuel today will be getting Shell fuel, tomorrow it may be Mobil or Phillips 66.

Gas and diesel go up in Illinois tomorrow due to new state taxes. 20 cents per gallon I think.

Ohio fuel is still cheap. Check your neighbor PA. IL doubles their gas tax July 1. CA increases their gas tax July 1 also. Avg cost per gallon now is $3.84 in CA. Be happy with the politics in Ohio you could have worse with the others.

I live in Ohio also, Frank I feel your pain, At least you have a good meat market in Pemberville beside the roaring Portage. And yes, soon we do get to remove our front plate. I know it's of little consolation but in 1966 when I made $1 per hour in Stony Ridge, Gas was about 27 cents pre gallon. When I retired I made a lot mare then that and gas took a lot less of my pay check. Think about that.
