Light stays on

My light came on today on my cougar half ton 5th wheel right above the hitch what made it come on and how do I turn it off thanks

It probably was an "inadvertent button push" on the remote control. On the "pre-in command" remote systems, what gets turned on with the remote will not function until turned off with the remote.

On my TT the switch is in the pass-thru compartment.
