We sold our Passport this week. Its been a great camper and I hope the people who bought it have as much fun as we have. So, now its time for something new. I've been looking at bullets, Premiers, Passports, and other Keystone products. Not a FR fan per se. I will say, I have been looking at the Imagine 2500RL by Grand Design. They are more money, but the seem really well built as far as trailers go. We are looking for rear living and this seems to have the nicest floor plan. SO, if the price is right. I guess my mixed feelings about selling the Passport will pass.

Only thing I'll say I'm unhappy with on the Passport is the latching/locking mechanisms on the storage doors. Every damn one of them has leaked causing the doors to soften to an extent. 2 years ago, I took everyone out and caulked the opening prior to reinstalling. Didn't really make any difference. They started about 2 years after purchasing. You can't see it from the exterior, but if you know what you're looking for, its there when you open them. In the 5 years we've owned it, I also never noticed how poorly the front passthrough door opening was cut out. In some spots, the lip of the door frame is only 1/8" overlap. Hasn't ever leaked or given any issue, and probably never will as long as the caulking is maintained.

Yep I know how you feel I kind of miss the PassPort. Was good to us, easy to tow and set up and only one minor issue with a piece of trim. The older I am getting I just needed a little more room in the bath and bedroom. The other thing it did was guide me to this site which I am happy to say is one of the better forums out there.

My wife and I have a 2015 Keystone Hideout 30rlds. We like this floor plan because the rear living area is spacious and you can view the entertainment center sitting in a comfortable position on the couch or in chairs. We have a seasonal campsite and a lake view from the rear window. Personally, I think a spacious bathroom might be another consideration. The 30 rlds floorplan changed on 2017 and newer models. Because the unit is never towed I can’t speak for how well the unit would hold up after time on the road. We have had no apparent defects.
A comment on RV pricing. We bought our 30 rlds new at an RV show. MSRP $30,000..sale price $20,000.

Well, we bought our new replacement. Instead of going with the Grand Design (I really like the camper, but the floor plan just wasn't quite right), we bought a 2019 Bullet 269RLS. We like this floor plan, quality of components isn't quite on par with Grand Design, but a very slight step up from our 2013 Passport GT. I toured a new Passport GT and they have come a long way in 5 years. Just not the floor plans. I'll be picking it up next Friday. I am ready to start camping for the year.

Congratulations, seems lie the Bullet floor plan is a bit more spacious but I was impressed with how much water and gray/black tank capacity there was in the GD. :ermm: Must have been a hard decision. How close were they in price? And from the same dealer or different ones?

Have fun in the new camper!

Different dealers. The Bullet was about 5 grand cheaper. If the GD Imagine had a model with recliners and a couch, I would have bought it. More storage spots than any other I've seen.

Our keyston e passport never leaked in the storage compartments. Roof, yes, front trim has been a problem. 9 years old and about 80,000 miles on it and minimum of 3 months a year in it. I would probably buy again. Just saying..

Got the new Bullet home.....or to the campground. Then trips home for "stuff". Was out this morning and put on the Maxaire II covers.

So far so good. Not sure I'm a fan of the antenna. Not the greatest reception compared to the old crank up.22406
