2019 Avalanche door latch

Have a new 2019 386bg. Today for some reason, I can't slam the front door hard enough to get it to latch. Everything seems tight, but it just won't latch. I can hold it closed, and lock the dead bolt, but that's the only way to hold the door closed.
Doesn't seem to be any adjustment in the striker plate.
Any suggestions?

I never slam the door on my Alpine. You might try loosening the strike plate to see if it does change it some. You may also be able to loosen the lock and adjust it some. Good luck.

I got it. For some reason, the factory installed the strike plate opening as far down as it would go and still function. It seems in travel, everything shifted just enough to catch the top edge the latch plunger.
I couldn't raise the strike plate without re-drilling the screw holes, so I just filed the notch in th striker plate a little higher, and........voila!
The door shuts nicely.
