My husband and I recently became the owners of a 2019 Hideout. Brand new, straight off the lot, the inside refrigerator (Dometic) has NOT worked. It shows to be on. The light comes on. It starts to get cold, but it doesnt last long, using electric or propane. It is on the same slide as the stove, which is possibly possessed. It worked fine for the first 3 or 4 times we used it, then after about a week, it would not light. Our quandary...we have a propane furnace and an outdoor kitchen with a propane stove, they both worked fine. The inside stove started working after using the outside stove for an extended amount of time. so when it quit again, we turned the outside one on and voila, inside stove works! Oh and the microwave ( same slide as fridge and stove) resets itself when I use the built in vacuum that is located in the kitchen Island.
It is a 50amp, 32 foot with 3 slides. We are total novices and have apparently ticked the local service guy off, cause we bought it from another place. He wants us to pull it to him... he said he was already 3 or 4 weeks behind and any rv that was purchased there, would take precedence over ours 😩 so, HELP!!

Welcome to the forum!!

Sorry it isn’t under better circumstances. You haven’t made the local dealer mad, RV dealers aren’t required to do any warranty work on units they didn’t sell. It sounds like there may be multiple issues going on and it really should go back to the dealer with your list of issues. I’m not going to offer any guess on the refer or stove because it could be any number of things.

Schedule an appointment as soon as possible.

I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. What kind of PDI did you or the selling dealer do? I'm afraid that may have been missed.

You, along with so many others. are finding out why it is important to buy from the dealer you intend to service your unit. What they are telling you about wait time is the standard if you bought your unit "somewhere else".

Your issues sound like they could be several things. If it's all in the slide have you looked under it? There is probably an umbilical that carries all of your stuff to it when it slides in/out. Is it in a bind? Kinked?

As far as not buying from the servicing dealer I know of all the horror stories - and mostly they're true. For me, bought mine where it is serviced intentionally. Every time I have an issue I'm asked if I want to bring it in "today" - until this week. Was told there was a 2 week time to get to a bay to assess anything and then the wait. I protested. I'm taking it in Monday, to a bay, to get my stuff done. As I told them, I am loyal, I need them to reciprocate and they do. Hopefully someone will chime in quickly that has other ideas.
