Thank you for your service and welcome to the forum! Although I don’t own a Hideout I know there are plenty of people here on the forums who do and can hopefully help you with your RV. Just wanted to say Hi!

Welcome to the forum from SE Texas. Thanks for your service, my younger brother is also a medic. I've got a 2017 308BHDS Hideout we bought new in August of '17. We've had a lot of fun in it and nearly no trouble.

You'll still get lots of love. Be sure to explain, do you mean air condition AC or electrical AC?

My previous trailer had an AC unit with a heat pump, and we used it religiously. We rarely had to refill propane, as only the cookstove depleted it. On our new Cougar, the heat pump wasn't an option, so we've been using the furnace... and during one period where the furnace was out of commission (sail switch fouled by factory sawdust left in the rig), we used a small stand-alone ceramic heater plugged into an outlet, which worked surprisingly well at night temps of 40° and over. The heat pump is an upgrade I would certainly consider, especially if the current AC has some years on it.

Welcome to the forum from one Kansas Camper to another. Congratulations on your retirement.

We spent a couple days at Glen Elder last summer on our way to Colorado. The fish didn't cooperate, but we really enjoyed our time there.
