Got a call from my storage lot “you need to come down here, right away”. This is what I was greeted with:

2003 C5 50th anniversary edition (just over 3,000 miles!) rolled down the hill and crashed into the back side of my 2010 Laredo 305TG.

The Vette:

The driver was NOT in the car, he was leaving the lot and the parking brake failed. It rolled about 300 yards. The impact was go great that it knocked the front landing gear off of the blocks and it moved the entire back end of the trailer about 2-3 feet.

It’s at the shop today, initial thought is that there is possible structural damage to the slide and maybe the frame.

I’m already getting prepped to get screwed by his insurance company.

That is not a good phone call to get! I hope that the insurance company steps up and provides full restitution for you.

Wow, that stinks !

Strangely, it seems less worse that it is a well kept, low mile Corvette and not a ratty 91 Geo Metro ?

I do hope you are treated fairly by the owner's insurance co.

Hey, hey, hey! Let’s leave the 450 owners out of this! We also have a C-5, but it seldom leaves the garage....

Report the loss to your insurance company, they will get involved with the settlement. At least that's how it works in Ohio. Look up the KBB wholesale value, that is the normal total amount they will offer. If it is totaled.

Frank, it hit the skirt in the left rear, the car wasn't dropped out of a C-141.:D
Yes I knew you were speaking in generalities. I was just having a little fun at your expense...

I'm good with that:) We just had to redo our RV insurance and the new Progressive policy has a max value which is the KBB wholesale value, no accessories considered. It is a Florida Policy so we are trying to get our arms around the new policy and they don't seam to fit. :ermm:

Looks like the Corvette is fixable. Travel trailer? Oh well.
