Go to keystones site and check recalls for your unit. You should also check NTSB or Transport Canada sites, depending where you live of course.

There is another source for checking recalls posted in another thread. I will find and link you what you need. :)

check this thread as well and all the others in recall section of the forum................ http://www.keystonerv.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2018

your keystone dealear should be able to look up the vin number of your trailer and tell you what has or has not been done under a recall. the recall site i use is AUTOMD/keystone/cougar. I would look up the recalls before I would call the dealear so you both have a good idea what is going on and are on the same page. ron

Yes, you should take it in for servicing. There must have been some kind of safety reason why the fridge was recalled in the first place. If it were me, I would want to have the problem -- if was fire related--- fixed. I think the Dometic fridge recall (on certain models) was issued several years ago ......in 2007 -08???

We have an 07' Cougar but our serial number was not on the recall.

Check it out and have it fixed.......just IMHO.

They put a metal shield around the questionable area of the coil. I'll see if I can get a photo of the repair. Hank

Correction : They put a shield around the chimney so if the coil leaks it is not exposed to an open flame.

This piece of sheet metal continues down over and seals the combustion area. This repair does nothing to prevent the leak fron happening but it is supposed to prevent a fire.
