New Resort in Canton, TX

Drove by a new RV resort the north I-20 on Highway 19 in Canton, TX. The online write up says the campground will be managed by KOA. This place looks to be first class and then some. Has pickleball courts, escape room, restaurant, wedding barn, cabins and lodges for rent, two pools and the list goes on. We will try it out on our next trip to Texas.

If you don't know about Canton, it hosts the largest Flea Market in the U.S., named 1st Mondays. Begins the Wednesday before the first Monday of each month. Takes about 2 days to walk through it. Because of this, reservations need to be made way early for the event, but normal on other dates.

Canton is a zoo during the flea market. The first time I stayed in Canton passing thru I had no idea but the first time I tried to drive anywhere it was painfully apparent. I'm not a fan of masses of people stuck together but it is obvious lots of folks are.

I hope this park is going to be decent. They have several (lots) around Canton but I haven't been impressed with most of them (it's a stop on our way to FL). We've started staying about 10 miles out of town to try to avoid the ruckus in the event our schedule takes us through there on the 1st Monday. We stayed at a little "rustic" (to say the least) park on 19 our first trip thru...haven't been back.:) Thanks for the info.

We stay at Lake Tawakani SP when going to 1st Monday, about 1/2 Hr from the market.
