We are in NW Iowa and enjoy kayaking or floating down rivers. Looking for great campgrounds that are on the river to float back to camp.

Have had great times NW of Decorah (Hutchinson Family), Lanesboro MN (Eagle Cliff Campground), Fort Dodge (Dolliver St Park).

Wondering if anyone can point us to other great camps in the upper midwest...IA, MN, SD, WI? Might even venture to MO
Thanks

With the current flooding I’m not sure what any of the Midwest will look like this year.

Our family has enjoyed canoeing and camping at these parks in MN that have water access in the campground. St. Croix river Interstate state park in Taylors Falls. St. Louis River, Knife Island Campground in Esko, MN (next to Cloquet) or same St. Louis river but closer to the harbor of Duluth from Indian Point Campground and Fond du Lac Campground. Not a river but long time favorite is the Lake at Bear Head State Park near Ely. They have a decent amount of sites where you can pull your non motorized watercraft up on shore next to the campsite and few basic plank docks below some of the campsites too.

There are many more but we frequent these ones every year and try to add a new one when we can but time is short so we find ourselves sticking to what we know often.
