In our 3811 MS the power window shade quit working. This is the big front window in the bedroom over the hitch.

Thanks for any advice.

Welcome to the forum.

You haven't provided nearly enough information to even consider offering advice on what happened or reommendations on how to repair it.

How did it stop working? Was there any smoke or smells? Does it still work manually? Is the trailer still in warranty? Have you checked the fuses? The switches? Is this a part of the "in command system"? Are there any manual backup switches? Have you checked the owner's manual for the power shade to see if it is warrantied by the manufacturer for a longer period than the Keystone 1 year warranty?

I know this post isn't any help, but for anyone to help you, you need to help us by providing the information about the problem....

I Must have missed the rules,of posting!

2018 3811MS purchased new in August. Living full time since Oct. this shade is in the bedroom on big front window. The switch to operate is on the opposite wall. No smoke or fire. Worked great until yesterday. How did it stop operating, we have no idea. Checked the fuse couldn’t find none, of course I went online and read the manual. Nothing in there. No “ in command system”, this shade is a motorized shade so no, it doesn’t work manually.

Thanks for the additional information. That helps.

First, pull the switch from the wall, use a voltmeter or 12 volt test light to check for voltage into the switch. If it is there, test for output from the switch when it is turned on. If it is there, go to the motor input and test for voltage at the motor input. If it's there, it's probably the motor. There may be a limit switch that protects the system that has opened, there may be a sensor that has failed. Try turning the motor armature slightly to see if the switch will then operate the motor.

If there is no voltage at the switch in the first step, then work "backwards" toward the battery, testing the wiring and checking for fuses. Every circuit in your RV is "fuse protected" or "circuit breaker protected" so somewhere, you'll find a fuse, maybe in the wiring loom maybe in the fuse panel.

With the age of your RV. Is it still in warranty? If so, or if you aren't comfortable doing the testing/troubleshooting, you might be better off contacting the dealership or a mobile RV service.

Take a look st the switch. Remove the plate and make sure the wires are secured where they should be. We had a light stop working and turns out it was just a loose wire in the switch. I hope it is an easy fix for you.
