Since the weather in Arizona has not been the warmest we've been able to put our furnace to lots of use. Finding out there may be issues. Seems to run constantly. Had a mobile RV guy out to take a look and found loose wires so tighten them but it didn't fix problem. Called the Dometic company to discuss issue and they said there are sensors throughout camper even in garage that sense the temp and furnace will respond to those sensors. So ok maybe if its sensing cold temp in garage vs living area It'll kick on. So than called dealer where we purchased camper. They say those sensors are only for the AC....so really how is this furnace suppose to work? Where is it sensing the temperature from? Guess we'll find out? Anyone else having this issue?

The furnace should respond to the thermotstat where you set the temperature. Generally they are nothing more then a switch which closes the connection between (usually two wires) and that signals the furnace to run until the thermostat is satisfied (reached the setpoint you put it to). First question. Does the trailer get exceedingly hot or does it just appear the fan is running all the time? Some furnaces you can put it in fan mode and the fan will stay running all the time. If it's getting exceeding hot and you turn down the thermostat (don't look at the number is says ) Just turn it down five degrees at a time and wait to allow it to respond ( a couple of minutes) . If it shuts off then i would say the thermostat is faulty. If the fan is just running constantly it could be a wiring mistake or the temp sensor on the fire box of the furnace is stuck on and it's signalling the fan to keep running as it's not "cooled" off the fire box enough yet. Hope what i am saying makes sense. I don't know which furnace or thermostat you have but it should not keep running.

Thank you. No the camper does not get too hot. It warms up to set temp and will shut off but than it comes back on within 2-5 min and continues to do this but not all the time, occasionally it appears to run just fine. We have the In Command System board so thinking our issue may be with that.

The system is working properly.. and yes..the remote temp sensors will control the RV furnace function as well as HP option if using..

Most likely the sensor for the zone that is related to the RV furnace...usually Zone 1 is getting some breeze on it and once temp drops 1 degree below set temp on in command it will turn heater on until temp sett8ng is met..

I spoke too soon. Last night had furnace on 60 when it kicked on it got to 77 in the bedroom and 59 in living room and shut off. So based on earlier post think we have problem with the thermostat. With the In Command system is there a number that the RV tech can call so he knows how to test it?

Also this manual on your in command system should be of value if you don’t already have it...
This is for the Global connect system that you are running...
