Just picked up my 427 and miraculously I only have one issue. My furnace runs perfect on 12 volt but will only run for 30 seconds on shore power or generator. Therefore it must be either incorrect wiring, bad furnace, or incorrect programming of the on demand control system introducing both 12 and 110 volt simultaneously. Anybody had this problem?

FYI, bought this unit from John at RV Outlet USA in South Carolina. Great dealer and great experience. I recommend them highly. Also they have fantastic prices being a volume dealer.

That is confusing because the furnace is 12 volts . The shore power is changed at the converter to12 volts. I really like your confidence with your dealer and interested in knowing what's the problem with your furnace.

I don't have the remote control gizmo but would check your propane regulator and make sure the tanks are both open. Try lighti8ng your stove yet? If no propane, that would be why the heater seems to want to crank then stops I guess.

Just got off the phone with the RV mechanic that did my PDI. As the furnace only works off 12 volts, he thinks the converter may be charging the batteries at too high a voltage. I am going to get out my handy volt meter and do some troubleshooting....

I doubt that’s the problem. Just sayin...we don’t deal with the in command system.

We're having furnace problems with our 2019 357 Fuzion. Its stopped working totally now after several weeks of it shutting down after only a few minutes of running. We're parked for winter and had a mobile rv guy come he found loose wires on furnace but still not working so he's coming back we're thinking issues is with On Cmd system which we're not impressed with at all! So good luck!

I had the same issue with a new Fuzion 419. Wasn't even a week old. Dealership had to replace the main board in the furnace.

Nice rig, congrats.

Thats what it was, we needed a new board. Still think sensors are switched in living area and garage so it'll have to get checked for that too but at least we have heat!

Well, this took a bit of work. As I stated, my heat would work on 12 volt but not when shore power or the generator was engaged. The dealer sent me a board for the furnace, which I replaced. That did not solve the problem. After many hours I found that if I shut off the breaker to the converter, the heat would run, yet the converter was putting out only 13.5 volts. That should not be enough voltage to stop the furnace. It traced the furnace wires to the fuse panel/breaker panel and removed the panel from the wall. I traced the wire to the spot in the 12 volt side of the panel and noticed that it did not have a fuse. It had a "mini breaker". It looks like a fuse but when it blows, it takes a couple of minutes and resets itself. It was very hot but the wires were not. I replaced the mini breaker with a 15 amp fuse and that solved the problem. All that work for a faulty "mini breaker".

On to the next issue...

Sometimes it's difficult, sometimes nearly impossible to find the cause. It's good to know you found it. Now, my question would be if some "expert" at the factory that's wiring DC power distribution panels happened to miscount where your 5 amp or 10 amp DC breaker should be and put it one up or one down from the intended circuit???? If so, do you have a circuit that calls for a smaller breaker that's being "protected" by a "too large fuse" ?????

Without knowing what circuits are above/below your furnace fuse, it's impossible to diagnose, but it sure sounds like one of the adjacent fuses would probably be the wrong size..... If they all are 15 amps, just a breaker instead of a fuse, if the breaker was blowing, the fuse will probably blow too, so keep a pack of spare fuses handy..... I don't think this one is over quite yet....

Hi I have a 2019 357i got it a week ago. My furnace runs 2 min then off 2 minutes all night long. This is with the fireplace in high. What did you find to fix your issue. Also. How hard does the garage vent blow. Mine is not working and the dealer said that’s normal. They blocked all the vents and it still doesn’t blow air out. I am taking it back to have them look but wanted some ammo to tell them.
Thanks

Did you get your issue fixed?

Last year we had the sail switch, electronic board and burner unit all replaced and furnace will run just fine for several hours than it does the same thing, runs, shuts off and starts right back up and we feel that's just a junk furnace. We believe that the problem is actually in the In Command System which in our opinion is junk. Almost entire wiring system that had crimped connections were not crimped properly and at one point left us dead in water with no power to In Command System at all, the main power was wired to a night light switch to steps. When we fixed that wire now we don't need a passcode to get into system! If your heat vent is not blowing in garage its not connected or pinched off, ours does have heat blowing but certainly not enough to heat garage. We leave patio doors closed when furnace is on. We had issues with the sensors, garage sensor was switched with one in living area. We've had our unit over a year, we're on 3rd frig, 2nd couch, a axel and tire replaced, furnace issues, in Command system issues hope that we have found all the issues! It's been ok for the last 2 month's!

I finally got the unit in and they found the factory installed the garage vent tube in backwards. It was cutting off all the air in the plenum. They pulled the hose off and turned the adapter over and now I do get air in to the garage. It will never heat the garage area but I do get air in there now. There is no return air to the furnace from the garage so to properly heat the garage you will need to leave the slide door open.
Just yesterday the furnace quit heating. It turns on runs 30 seconds and off. I will look in to possible sail switch?? Anyone know where the sail switch is? The furnace is behind access panel under bathroom. And hard to get to. Any help would be great!!

Before "chasing rainbows"...… The only thing that's changed in the heating system is that the "dealership turned the adapter over and now you get air in the garage" ????? If that's the only modification to the heating system, if I were you, before "tearing into the furnace" I'd turn that adapter over and reinstall it "the way the factory had it installed" and verify that the furnace still malfunctions or "hopefully, works like it did before the "dealership fixed the problem" ….

Not a lot of air to garage is normal. And the furnace could quickly increase the heat if the fireplace is going. Causing quick cycling. Maybe?
