Cleaning inside slide seals

How do you clean/lube the slide seals on the inside? Every time I do them I think there must be an easier way.

Not so much with what but how. I seem to always bang my head on something and have a tough time getting both sides of the seal without it constantly flipping over. Although I do like the idea of baby powder for the inside seals.
