Center wall relocation.

I have a bullet 272bhs and I am considering relocating the entertainment console/wall to the far right and tword the rear of the camper. The reason for this is to gain more leg room on the bed. I am 6'6" and I sleep with legs curled up or across the bed therefore taking up the wife's bed space. I figure by moving it twords the entry door and slightly to the rear I could gain at least 6" of room on the bed and it wouldn't interfere with the slide being in. Thoughts? Ideas? Anyone modify their bedroom so it is tall guy friendly?

You should carefully peel back the wall panel on one side, and look inside. Possible that there is wiring and or plumbing vents that would require re routing.

I'm sure there is wiring, easy enough to relocate. I don't think there are any vents. My concern is more structural rigidity for the roof line after relocation.

The roof structure usually doesn't rely on any of the internal wall bracing to support the weight that is on the roof. The only issue I think you'll run into is spacing of the rafters and how the interior vertical wall is attached to the ceiling/roof structure. Chances are that the current location is along a roof rafter. Typically the rafters are spaced 16" on center. If you want to move the wall, say 12", the top of the new wall location won't be under a roof rafter, so you'll have to devise some method to attach the top of the vertical wall to something strong enough that it won't loosen over time and travel. The 1/8" luan ceiling panels aren't structural and don't have enough strength to support the top of the wall and without a rafter to secure it to, the first time you tow over a "bump in the road" or one of the kids is jumping around and "falls into the wall"... well, you get the idea.

If you can come up with a means to anchor the top of the wall in the new location, it shouldn't be a hard job to move. Hiding the holes in the old location will probably be the most difficult part....
