Theatre seating

We just purchased a new 2019 Cougar 24 SAB and thinking of changing to the reclining theatre seat instead of the couch. Any thoughts on how to do this?

I replaced our very uncomfortable pull out couch with a LazyBoy recliner love seat. The back came off the pull out couch and the thing separated into two parts. Got it out the door and got the LazyBoy in (also a back and seat part) in the same way. The LazyBoy is a lot more comfy. Thinking about pulling out the booth dinette and replacing it with a small table/chairs set up. Wife kind of likes the dinette. I find it uncomfortable. She usually wins this type discussion.

I replaced the couch in my 318sab. Couch came out easily opened up. Ordered the theater seating from rec pro. It came in 5 pieces very easy to assemble in the trailer. Been very happy with it. free shipping arrived in 3 days.

On our 2019 Cougar 26RBSWE, we just made the dealer swap the tri-fold couch out for the theater seating. They agreed after some heated negotiations. I think we paid an additional $440 for the swap (they originally asked for over $1500, so that was the negotiation :) ).

What ever you do make the new ones will fit. Width and protrusion into the room. Will they clear the slides? Can you close the unit up? It's not good when you get a $1000.00 worth of seating in and the slide won't close.

I'm pretty sure the theater seats for the Cougar Half-ton series are all the same, so you can measure one in a different trailer to make sure. However, we had the tri-fold sofa in the location where the theater seating is now, and it looks to fit the same in our 2019 26RBSWE - FYI.

I talked to my dealer and to Keystone about this. I couldn't find a 29BHS with the theater seating. My dealer found one that was still at the factory being assembled. It had the regular fold out couch already in it. They told me that the Thomas Payne theater couches and fold out couches are all a standard size in all the trailers. I was able to have them remove the old couch and put in the theater seating while it was still at the factory.

Anyone have the measurements for a cougar 29bhs, I see online Thomas pane offers a 60, 62, 68? I take delivery next week so I can measure then. Just wondering if anyone one knows offhand. Can't seem to be googled.
