Been researching this a ton. Don't need any opinions about the whole goose neck / fifth wheel hitch debate. Exhausted from all that discussion currently :)

What I am interested in is hearing from anyone with direct experience with the Mor-ryde set up with their goose neck adapter plate. Love the idea - want to know your experience with this set up.

Thanks.....

In reply to your question, I a'm a retired trucker and farmer. I have had a brand name Pop Up RV 1 goose neck adaptor coupled to a 29 rks Larado and a Hitch welded to the frame with a 2" tube and pulled a 6'X12' v nose Motorcycle trailer with a 2004 ultra classic full dresser many, many miles with a 2004 Chevy 2500 HD Durmax with Ride Rite air bags and a B&W fifth wheel mounted in the truck. I then traded for a 2010 Chevy 2500 HD with a Durmax and installed Ride Rite air bags on it with a B&W hitch. We sold our first camper and purchased a 2009 300MP Raptor toy hauler and the goose neck adaptor off of the first trailer is on this one. Have been to the Black Hills and out west in Utah, Co,Grand Cannon, and the reason for the toy hauler is you can not double tow in the eastern states and Flordia.I Have checked the welds where the fifth wheel comes off the FW under the fiberglass under the nose of both trailers and never any bending or cracked welds, but some body did a nice job of welding and they had gussets in place. Probably 80,000 miles and still going. I'm not an Engineer, just the facts after using one!
