View Full Version : High wind shutoff
I'm looking for something i can use with my christmas inflatables to turn them off automatically if it gets too windy. I've been googling for a while and can't find anything. I know they have things for awnings to automatically retract. Anyone heard of something like this that can simply interrupt the circuit like the dusk to dawn sensors do?

A quick google search returned "Hunter Plastic Wind Sensor" which is used for irrigation systems, but I would think it could be adapted for use in a situation such as you describe with a little "magic modification" :)
I saw it. Only low voltage. Thanks.

Could you use a low-voltage relay to control the 120 V?

That was my thinking as well.
Maybe? I've no idea. I was hoping for some off the shelf thing i could buy. I'll look into it.
