TV mount

we recently bought a new to us 2013 Montana High Country 318re. the previous onwer removed the tv and tv mount so I am trying to find out how to mount a tv to this area. In this rv the tv is located in the back wall between two window. Only half of this wall is solid though. the right half feels like there is solid structure inside the wall, the left side is just flimsy decorative covering. Is there a tv mount that mounts to the wall off center of where the tv would stow for traveling?
Hope this makes sense. Kinda hard to explain.

There is a plate mounted between the rear wall upright studs. It may be plywood, OSB or aluminum, depending on the year of the trailer. You should be able to see the screw holes left from the previous owner's removal of the OEM wall mount. You'll be "safe" installing your wall mount in the same location. You may need to find a specific brand (or type) of wall mount to come close to matching the existing holes. I wouldn't suggest going to Harbor Freight and buying their "$9.99 mount" but rather, look at the RV supply websites and find one that has a base that approximates the measurements of your existing screw holes. Then, armed with that brand/model, search the internet for your best price. Alternatively, you can order the OEM from the dealership that carries your brand trailer. If you do that, plan to pay a premium price.

Go online to MorRyde, they several different styles & types & probably MUCH cheaper than Trekwood.

Thanks for the info. There a numerous holes in that wall as if several other things had been mounted there in the past. I will have to do some more probing and figure out what is in that wall. an aluminum cross member would kind of make sense. Guess this is the kind of thing you deal with when buying used. There is one on the Trekwood site that has a very large mounting base with numerous mounting holes that could account for many of the holes in the wall. The price though was outrageous!.

Yes, the prices for RV equipment at an RV parts store is much like the price of boating or golfing equipment at a boating or golfing store. Often those things (and RV stuff) are much cheaper at local supply stores like Lowes, HD or even WalMart. Get the basic brand, style, shape or other defining characteristics at Trekwood, then do your own shopping. I'd almost guarantee you'll find it cheaper (usually more than 50% cheaper) somewhere else. But, the nice thing about Trekwood is they usually have photos that give you a starting place for what you're trying to find.....

Well, I used a Harbor Freight fully articulating mount so the TV could swing towards our Lazyboy love seat. I mounted a 3/4" finished and stained plywood back inside the cabinet where the TV is supposed to go to bring it out some. The tv mount cost about $50 and is VERY strong.
