Valve is stuck open. Suggestions? Will pouring veg oil into toilet and sinks lube valve? Corrode seals?

Kurts, forget any idea of pouring vegetable oil in anywhere and making a difference. Particularly don't pour it down the commode. That would be like pouring perfectly good vegetable oil down the commode. Most likely, in my opinion, you have a grey cable collapsed or broken at the connection. Until you got somewhere to drop a little of the coroplast and take a peak, stop at your friendly RV store and purchase a valve that fits on the end where your sewer hose connects and will do the same job only temporarily. I'll post a stock number shortly.

I used one of those valves on the end of the sewer line for 2 years. My original valve would open and close but would sleep. So when I pulled into a cg and pulled cap off you got quart or 2 of crap,, embarrassing so that's how I corrected mine ,, have since traded it off

I've got one, use it ALL the time.... The one time I might think about taking it off is the one time that the black tank valve wouldn't close properly.... Soooooo, my "twist on valve" is a permanent attachment on the sewer connection... Call it insurance, assurance or "cautious sewering".... I wouldn't leave home without it... :whistling:

X2 Started using one on the Cougar which always had a little surprise waiting when connecting the sewer hose, transferred to the Alpine without even waiting to see if it has the same problem.
