Hydraulic stabilizer system for Avalanche?

Has anyone changed from the electric jacks to a Hydraulic stabilizer system for Avalanche? We have ours at the dealer to research the cost, and have a sliding generator shelf built for our Yamaha I6500 generator. Last camping trip we could not level the trailer due to location and spent several hours fighting the limited travel provided in the current system.

Are you just replacing the existing landing gear or are you looking at a full hydraulic leveling system that levels front to back and side to side?

Had an area that was domed and the trailer would not level. Yes, whole new self leveling system.

I level side to side with plastic block. I made these wood blocks to help with wiggle and for very uneven ground.

Full hydraulic would be sweet.

How about the Lippert Level-Up System? Had it installed on our Montana last Oct and LOVE it. Don't have to carry a lumber yard around with us.

just found a u-tube video on Lippert Level-Up System. That is very nice. What did it cost for a retrofit install?

They had a special at last years Montana Rally, so the install cost me 3200. Retail is quite a bit higher. We're living in our rig about 3/4 of the year so we've added lots of goodies, automatic HD dish, second AC, combo washer/dryer, to make it our Home on Wheels.

at $3200 that seems like a steel-

I dry camp a lot so I end up on very uneven ground. Some time the jacks do not want to reach.

I also hate the wiggle when in bed and someone else (teen age boys) are walking around. The wood block shorten the jacks and help a lot.

I'm thinking of trying one of the king pin support stands to help.

I would recommend the Steady-fast system before I purchase a King pin stand. The Steady-Fast system stays on the trailer so you don't have to drag it out every time and find a place to store it. It does a nice job stopping wiggle in both directions. (Side to Side and Front to back)...In my HO...

I second the Steady Fast endorsement. Have had them on two trailers and they are the best. No movement at all; you have to see it to believe it. Well spent $ 300.00.

Per LCI, Level Up can be installed on any %th Wheel. Worst case (needing to add a hydraulic pump and lines) costs 5K and takes 8 hours. Call LCI for details.
