Dont have a disconnect switch so for storage if I unhook the negative cable here will that work18786

That looks like a ground cable for....what? Disconnect the negative cable instead at the battery.

If that is the ground wire from the battery, yes it will work. But the connection at the battery is a better choice for repeated loosening/tightening IMO.

What Chuckster said. Constantly removing/installing a self tapping screw in sheet metal won't work long. The threads will wear out quickly then it won't tighten.

If you have more than one battery, follow that cable back to the battery it's connected to & remove that cable from the battery, done.

I had removed the cable from the battery, today I ordered a disconnect switch
