We have a 2018 Bullett Premier, 31 ft. And have made reservations in the Phoenix, AZ area for the month of Mar. 2019. We live in NE North Carolina. I’ve scouted out several routes from here to AZ but my main would be the most direct route but goes thru some pretty good mountain areas and is also prone to snow storms. I-20/10 goes farther south and I don’t think the mountains are as steep but it is a longer drive. I open to any suggestions anyone may have. Also good overnight places. We would like someplace we can have elec and water at least. Thanks.

Well, there ain't a bunch of mountains on I20/I10... I'd follow 20 to 10 in Midland/Odessa

if you take 10/20 time yourself for going through atlanta....crazy traffic.

also, a note to nothing, make sure you have enough gas as you go through the western end of texas....looooong stops between gas stations.

20/10. While you’re coming through Las Cruces NM stop in and say hi at Holiday World RV. I know it’s hard to plan a trip that long, this far out, but if you want to stop in RV parks over night, you may want to plan your stops ahead of time and make reservations. The parks down in this part of the country are typically full with snow birds that time of year.

No question about it, I-20/10 is the route to go. Just make sure you have the best tires on your truck and trailer and have plans to get fuel as often as possible so you don't run out and you should be good. If you can plan daily distances, you can make reservations ahead of time. I find the Good Sam site is pretty good for planning a trip like this, and I'm sure there are others. Just don't try to plan unrealistic daily travel distances.

IH10 or IH20 through Louisiana isn't the great stretch of either road; make sure your tires are in A1 condition. IH10 is a bit better road through that state.

there is a great basic 'passport america' rv campground RIGHT OFF of I-10 in Las Cruzes, NM.
301 S Motel Blvd
Las Cruces, NM 88007
Local: (575) 386-0636

from here you should be able to finish your drive to Phoenix. 6 hours or so.

Don't go through Atlanta. Go south on 95 to Jacksonville, Florida.

They must have fixed it, 'cause the last time I traveled it you could make margaritas on it without a machine... :D
