Hi Just joined this forum after hearing about it in a you tube video. We are looking to purchase our first RV at the RV show in Hershey PA later this month. Does anyone have experience with this show?

This is just a personal opinion but my wife and I have owned a fair number of campers. Truck campers, pull trailers and fifth wheels, etc. First one you buy, you find things you like and things you don't like which often leads to the second camper. For us, finding the right floor plan and features was a process. Perhaps a used camper with the features and floorplan you believe you will like makes sense as you are basically in a trial and error mode. If you hit the right one the first time then great plus you will have avoided the HUGE depreciation a new camper goes through bought new and driven off the lot. If you are set on a new camper, find out which dealers will be at this show and do some research on them as the dealer also can be the key to a trouble free purchase. Good luck!

Welcome to the forum from New Jersey, From what I heard that show is one of the biggest in the area,I have to agree with George do some research on what dealers will be there and check reviews.Consider how big and what you are going to tow it with?
Good luck be sure ask a lot of questions.

I would use the show as an opportunity to view in person campers you may be interested in based on reviewing floorplans. Think about what you need. For example, my wife does a lot of cooking so counter space was a priority. Lots of campers we lacked adequate counter space for food prep.
Where does the coffee pot go?
Do you need a bed that can be accessed from both sides? King or queen? night table space next to bed?
Shower - curtain or enclosure?
Storage space?
Type of camping...dry or full hookups?

After tents, pop ups, and one TT, the current one we have meets our needs. We have been out in it for as long as 2 weeks.

Just a thought, YMMV. My dealer told me they could make a better deal before the show because didn't have to pay for transportation and rental space at the show. Me personally, I'd like a trailer others have not traipsed through and touched every knob.

My husband and I have been doing research for about 2 years. We watch you tube videos and I have read several books. We, ve gone to dealers in several different areas, and attended a couple of different rv shows. We recently purchased an F350. Our search has been narrowed down to the Montana 3121RL and the High country 305RL. I'm a little nervous about the floor on the high country.
