Hello...I attempted to install these stairs (STP-3-27-02) on my 2012 298RE and seems it's not even close to fitting well enough to close the doors. Anyone overcome this situation? Have an email in for support at this moment. Thx

Well, just got reply back from the manufacturer who said the top plate on this product was bent that I bought from Autoplicity on Amazon. They offered to send out a new top plate even though I did not buy directly from them.

I brought up my concern that even if the new threshold laid flat on the original threshold it most likely would still not allow my door to close because my door currently touches the original threshold (which I would think is what it's supposed to do).

She then referred me to a qualifier article that said I need at least a 1/8" gap between door and bottom threshold (that I did see and reviewed before ordering but is not clear if you've never seen the new product and how it's applied - really need clear technical illustrations here).

What I'm wondering is what door thresholds have a 1/8 inch gap??? And I see no slide ability for bottom part of door to adjust up and down as you might have on home screen door.

I may be out of luck unless I make custom mods.

I also emailed Autoplicty on Amazon that sold it to me and waiting for clarification.

It looks to me that the legs of the StepAbove are extended quite a bit. Have you tried removing the pins and adjusting the legs?

Yes, legs are extended more then usual but you can see by the from stabilizer jack that I am parked on a slight pitch so need the added extension.

Regardless the stairs are still pointing too far downward.

Was just told my MORryde just now that looks like these stairs will not fit my application.

They suggest I look at their "Quick Connect Step" instead that attached via hinge on the outside...will let you know more when I get into it. Might be the better alternative. Thx
