Two Max Load Values?

My tires have two different MAX LOAD capacities listed on the side of the tire ... one for single and one for dual.

At the risk of sounding a little stupid ...
I have a dual axle trailer. Just clarifying with you tire Guru's ... Should I use the "dual" number when calculating if the tires are OK for the vehicle, right?

single is listed as 3540.
dual is listed as 3080.

Max trailer weight is 12,400.
The 5th wheel hitch weight is about 800 pounds.

Use the single value. You have tandem axles; 2 axles with one tire on each end. A dual application is like a dually truck; 2 tires side by side.
