I know this subject has been discussed before but where do you guys put a carpenter's bubble level (yes I'm old school) when you level your Fifth wheel

You can buy the little stick on bubble levels to put on each corner of the trailer on the outside so you can see outside. I tried that but they were more trouble then they were worth. I use a 2' level and throw it on the floor or top of the island depending on where I'm at while leveling - (they're both in the middle of the trailer). Others probably have other methods.

Bubble level should be (old school) placed in the freezer to assure the refer is level for optimal operation.

I have a large level mounted to my pinbox. I used a 6’ carpenters level on the floor to calibrate the level. Now I just watch the big steel ball when I’m backing in for side to side and then use the landing gear for front to back.

Yeah you spoiled guys have auto level....

X2 I also leveled the Cougar to the refrigerator. Then, added the small exterior levels to the front and drivers side. I can see the side to side level in the rearview mirror. Once that's good I use the auto level to finish it off. Start to finish less then 10 minutes.
Auto level instructions: start with a mostly level position.

Chuckster would a small level like a torpedo type work on any part of the refrigerator like a shelf or inside the freezer compartment only

I don’t see why not. A torpedo,Level would have to be able to rotate for both front/back and side/side. I think you can still buy the small round bubble levels.

OK guys, how in the world do you put a level of any kind inside the fridge once you have packed it (PACKED IT) for a 4-5 month trip? No, I'm not taking stuff out and I've never had one ounce of trouble using the level on the floor in front of me while I'm outside or on the island......just thinking "outside the box":D

That’s why I have this:

“Set it” and forget it...I verify it’s still accurate every couple of years.

Here's the level we used to set the trailer level before we applied the levels to the exterior. Like Chuckster said, verify the accuracy every couple of years

Why not just download a level App on your phone and level usis t that. I’m using one that has several types of levels and an audible sound when level is obtained.

For those with an iPhone, go to the built-in compass app and slide right to left; it will show a "bubble" level. It turns green when level. No need to download another app.

I'm more interested in where to level at in the trailer sometimes I notice a closet door will swing one way or the other indicates that it's not level. Here's a poor man's level...put a ball on the floor and what way it rolls raise that side...😁

When I reset my auto level I use a 6ft level in the middle of the trailer.. Which fortunately for me is just inside the front door...

I have a kitchen island so I put my phone there and measure for level. Fridge is directly across from the island. Works fine

I just put the small bubble level on the floor in front of the fridge. I figure that gets it close enough to work properly.

Back in the "DAY" we used one of these to check if the fridge was level.. :D

Set it on the floor, counter, island, floor inside storage compartment.... any thing would be close enough unless it is warped. Inside the fridge is getting a little picky. If the fridge is off that much, the food would slide off the shelf. After all the fridge does run going down the road and the trailer is not at all level then.

I did like these others have stated. Level up the camper with your level however you wish, then get the stick on or screw on bubbles on the front corners or pintel or near self leveler controls. Then you never have to go around with a level again.

I open the door and put a torpedo level on top of it for side level. Then set the level just inside the freezer for level. (You can also use the frig door.)

Yes, had a few of those dreaded little round monsters. About 3 units back traded them for a button that says 'auto level'.
