Good afternoon all,

I have been doing much research on replacing my current generator. It is a 4400 max watt Powerland from Costco. It is loud and not very campground friendly. My challenge is my favorite dry camp spot is at about 7,000 feet in the California eastern Sierra’s. Champions tech support feels the 3500 will lose 25.5% of its power at that altitude.

Can any users of the Champions tell me if they can still power up and run their 15k A/C units at that altitude.

I had no problems at 6000 a few weeks ago with a Champion 3100.

dont know if this is much help but i had no problems at 7000 feet using 2 of the older 2000 watt champions in parallel

not sure if they are 1600 or 1800 actual running watts
and my ac may be 13,500

We have a 4375 watt champion and we have no problems with it above 9000 ft. We use it solely for AC, microwave and battery charging.
