Hi! We r camping without full hookups. We have water n electric. Our galley tank is full but grey and black empty. We r only using water to wash dishes. Is there a way to combine galley with grey tanks so it’s not full? We can’t dump for another week.
We have Springdale 220 bh

If your cap is on, you can try opening drain valves for grey and galley to combine them. Hopefully you have a cap with a garden hose connection or a last chance valve. Be sure to close them both before trying to empty black.

If you have or can get one, a Valterra Twist on valve would be best. It is a regular drain valve with fittings that allow you to put it on the end where the drain hose normally goes, and with that valve closed, you could open both the galley and gray valves to allow both to share the waste water. Then when you go to drain, close all the valves, hook up your hose to the add on valve, drain what water is in the line, then drain your black tank, then the gray and galley tanks.

A gray water tote is a great addition to your gear for these situations. It's essentially a bit container of water on wheels to allow you to roll (rather than carry) your water to the dump station. Of course many folks also just get a garden hose connector and empty the gray into the bushes. If I'm going this route I try to use biodegradable camping soap.

Instead of a tote dolly had you considered getting a couple of five gallon buckets with lids. I use two Home Depot buckets and drain grey water into those and put in back of truck bed and dump at RV dump site. Also strongly recommend Valtera clean out twist on unit with external gate valve. Lets you see what’s in sewer line and gate valve let’s you control release.
