I know both my tanks are listed as 30 gallons each. It seems like I can't get more than 15 gallons into my generator tank. the level read that the tank was empty and the generator stalled multiple times in a 5 minute period leading me to believe it was empty. Fueled it up till fuel was spitting back out of the filler(15 gallons), waited a few and tried to add more, and still wouldn't take any more. Any ideas?

There are other threads on this, but yeah on mine with empty flashing, I only got about 18 gallons in. There was some discussion about how and where the pickup and gauge were installed I believe.

Racebug, lay under your Fuzion and measure the tank accurately. About 7.5 gallons per cubic foot.

That's funny you bring this up, just this last weekend my Raptor gauge said empty, I filled it up and it took only 16 gal. and started spitting out, I crawled under and the label says 30 gal. on the side of the tank.

Not convinced its full I tried to fill it up a ways down the road and nope it wouldn't take one gallon!

The other thing I find odd is I have to loosen my gas cap or you hear the tank pop as you run the genny or fill the quads.

I replaced the cap with no luck, verified the vent hose was not plugged and inspected the carbon canister (I don't really know how to test it) and found nothing.

Any ideas?

I wonder if the tanks have a baffle system to prevent "sloshing" while towing?? Could it be that the baffles are installed at the top of the tank and there's an air pocket that prevents fuel from flowing into the spaces?

Another possibility is the tank installation is angled so that the vent doesn't allow air to escape from the top of the tank so once the air is trapped, no more fuel can flow into the tank ?

I am pretty sure the first time I filled it, it took 30 or so gallons. I am starting to think the suction line could be the problem.

I checked the tank last night and it is a 30 gallon, it is full, and I cant see why the suction would not pick up from the bottom. I took the fitting out and it is just about exactly right.
