Just recently purchased a Cougar 311RES (https://www.keystonerv.com/fifth-wheels/cougar/floorplans/311res/) and planning on installing a vented washer/dryer combo unit. Not sure of the best place to cut the hole for the vent. Would you take the shortest route and put it in the front or use a 90* elbow and vent it through the side close to the water and drain connections?

Looking closer at the space for the w/d and saw this
17153

Does this mean the dryer vent is to be in this inset box above the water valves or that the vent should be on the same wall next to the box?

Same wall, not necessarily in that same “box”. I doubt you have enough room to do it in that box anyway.

It would be a very tight fit in the same box.

If you haven't purchased the combo unit, I would consider a stackable set. Larger capacity.

Already purchased the combo. Not enough room for a stackable set.
