Hello,

My wife and I just purchased a 24SAB in WA state. We are scheduled to pick it up next week.

We have spent the last couple of days buying stuff to be ready for a short trip when I pick it up. We already have reservations for a local camp site, less than 20 miles away.

I did order a surge protector and it should be here in a couple of days.

I figured to join the forum to read and get info on things from others out there.

Chat later.

Congrats  on your purchase. I highly suggest you spend as much time as possible to prepare for your post sale inspection. There is a sample list (PDI) on the forum you can use as a starting point.

Be Safe and Happy Camping :camping:

Thanks everyone.

Paraptor,
I do plan to spend some time with them going over things. I'm sure they will try to rush me but I'm not one that tends to rush into things.

I thought of making a checklist; use to them from my flying days, to use when I setup, take down, etc. I found one in the forums and downloaded it. I figured it was a good starting point; not sure how generic it is but can modify as I see it is needed.

I couldn't find a PDI list. I did a search for PDI but nothing came up. Does the search function look through photos as well? I found the checklist in the photo section; I could go do a search there.

Thanks again.

Thanks for the link. I just found the one posted by Festus2. I'm pretty sure they are the same but for some reason your link doesn't work.

But I have it now. Thanks again. (tx)

Welcome from Virginia. Hope you enjoy your new RV, and btw don't forget to get water hoses and sewer lines because they do not come with them most of the time.

We've been buying LOTS of stuff. We had a class C while I was in the Navy; sold it when I went overseas. So we aren't entirely new to camping; just been a long, long time.

I've been reading up and getting an idea on what is needed. My wife is tired of shopping we've been doing so much; I didn't think that was possible. :whistling:

I got the wrong surge protector; picked up a 50 amp. Then I saw on here that I need a 30 amp so had to order of those. :ermm: I can send back the 50 amp for a full refund.

I know, hard to believe. I thought she only stopped shopping when the store closed or the card got worn out. :whistling: But don't tell her I said that. She may see it as a challenge.

Anyone who might be interested in the PDI, I was able to fine and copy at the following address:

http://www.angelfire.com/trek/buenavista

This is the best I have found. Several were similar but this one was arranged the best and was the most complete. Even has very good explanation notes and warnings of what dealers might do to not complete the inspection.

Look on the left, there is a list. You want Tom Boles Inspection list.
