I have had my 2017 Outback for just over a year and discovered standing water in the camper this weekend in the corner where the water hook-up is located. I took the cover off the side table and discovered a hose that is not attached to anything that was full of water. I don't know if the hose is for a future hook-up to an ice maker or washing machine. I don't know if just capping it off would be ok or if it truly should be attached to something.

Any help would be appreciated.:banghead:

What's the other end hooked to ?If it is hooked TO the water pump it might be for sucking the antifreeze ifor winterizing.. just a thought.

Welcome to the forum :wlcm:

Looking at the top picture, it appears the hose your talking about is attached to a valve. That valve controls where the water is being pulled from. One hose goes into the floor and that one is attached to the fresh water tank. The other one is for winterizing. Just make sure that valve is turned all the way and it shouldn’t leak. If it does it needs to be replaced.

Thank you for your response. Out of curiosity, as a new RV owner, how would I have known that there was a hose in a sealed cabinet that would help pump anti-freeze into my pipes? It seems like a silly place to put such an important item.

Do you think capping off the hose until I can get the leaking valve replaced would hurt anything? It will be 2-3 months before it can be taken into the shop to be repaired. Thank you again
