Has anyone added any electric heat or alternative heat to not have to use propane? I am thinking of adding an electric heater just inside our main door on our 308bhds. It would be a blower type. There is a dead spot in the cabinetry that I can beef up if needed, good or bad idea?

We use a plug in heater all the time. Electric is included in our fees, propane is not. The heater we have heats the whole trailer (344 MKS) I leave it downstairs and the remote beside our bed so I can increase or decrease the heat during the night. Also have an electric mattress pad that makes the bed warm too!

We use a portable electric heater when at a campground for a short time. Using it when at a site for longer periods where you pay for power we have found it is cheaper to use propane. YMMV

+1 our Impact garage is furthest from the furnace and gets cold. So we use a plug in space heater for our boys sleeping back there

The fireplace helps a lot. Until below 38 we use the heat pump. Rarely use the furnace and keep the fireplace on to help the furnace. Really like the heat pump.

We installed “Cheap Heat” add on electric conversation to our gas furnace. Total electric heat through the existing ducts. This provides heat to protect pipes from freezing.

Sounds interesting. I do like the added ability to choose electric.
