I'm headed to Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, Alabama in two weeks and I need some directions. GPS and Mapquest directions look a little squirrely to me. How do you enter the park for check in with your trailer?

Slowdown, we have stayed there many, many times, not to mention Gulf Shores, Alabama in general. Go here:
https://www.google.com/maps/dir/30.2591067,-87.6518431/Orange+Beach,+AL/@30.2577138,-87.6546961,16z/data=!4m9!4m8!1m0!1m5!1m1!1s0x889a0653ba3f0f09:0xe a3bcac5eb6a8dbb!2m2!1d-87.5867598!2d30.2697033!3e0
This will take you to the entrance to the park where they will meet you 24 hours a day. 600 beautiful spots. You will love it. If you need more info like let's say going out to eat at the Tin Top just north of Gulf Shores just PM me. And be sure not to miss Wolf Bay Restaurant soft shell crabs.

Thanks! Will do. The only thing I have planned for sure is go to one of the fish markets. Billy's Seafood in Bon Secour is at the top of my list. I intend to be a seafood grilling fool the whole time I'm there!

We've been out there many times. While there might I recommend a few pounds of Royal Reds?

We have a family condo on the beach in Gulf Shores. I always pick up some Red Snapper to grill (and boil shrimp). If you have a large group, taking a fishing trip out of Orange Beach is a blast. Our catch in 2015 is below. My parents just got back on Sunday. They said it was nice, but a little windy on the beach. I'll be down there at the end of June.

I saw on the Park's Facebook page that 4 nights a year they allow tent camping on the beach. That sounds like something to put on the bucket list.
